Photographic facsimile, backed with linen, sectioned for folding; modern slipcase, in very good condition.

Photographic facsimile of the original 1774 fourth English edition of the map first published in 1755. This facsimile was issued in 1909 as map no. 23  to accompany "North Atlantic Fisheries Arbitration", London, 1909. The original map from which the facsimile was made belonged to George III and some of manuscript notations are in his hand. A full-size facsimile of one of the seminal maps in American history.
