An attractive double page Ortelius map of the Isle - de - France. The map is dated 1598 and was published c. 1600 - 1608. This is a very decorative depiction of the region. The map is surrounded with a Renaissance decorative border, the towns and villages in red with the forests in green.

The sheet is lightly age toned. The margins with small unrepaired tears, none into the plate mark, and a fold across the lower left corner. The fold of the map is split at the top and bottom edges. The back of the map with the description in Spanish and the original colored initial.
