Description: A rare panoramic view of Medina (Madinat Rasul Allah, or al-Madina; alternatively transliterated into English as Madinah) in the Hejaz region of western Saudi Arabia. The long form of the Arabic name means "City of the Prophet of Allah". Medina is the second holy city of Islam, after Makkah (Mecca). Its importance as a religious site derives from the presence there of the Masjid al Nabawi, the Mosque of the Prophet, which was built on the site of Muhammad's home and is where he is buried. The first mosque of Islam is also located in Medinah and is known as Masjid al-Quba, the Quba Mosque.

From a book by A M Myller recounting his travels from 1725 to 1727. Myller journeyed from Rome to Jerusalem then on to Troy, Gallipoli and Constantinople. From Constantinople he travelled to Egypt and then to Syria. Finally from Syria he travelled to Malta and back to Rome.
