A beautiful map of the county of Lancashire with many decorative elements. As van der Krogt points out, most of the maps in Blaeu's Atlas of England were copied from John Speed's 'Theatre of the Empire of Great Britaine' published in 1611. The family shields of two families appear, but a third is left blank, as is the shield in the title cartouche. Latin text on verso.

The map is in excellent condition with no splits or repairs. The paper is clean with wide margins.
